A vision: the Son of Man

In the summer of 2008, while on break from university, I returned to my parents' home and worked as an intern in my home town. During this period, my faith was at its strongest. Each day followed a devoted pattern: I would go to work while listening to my audio Bible, immerse myself in scripture throughout the day, return home to read more of the word, and then repeat this cycle daily.
Unfortunately, as the years passed, I gradually drifted from these practices. My once-fervent commitment weakened—a regrettable departure from the spiritual zeal I had cultivated during that time, especially considering the profound vision I experienced during that summer break.
One night I went to bed, and whilst asleep I was taken to a dark room and levitating in front of me was Jesus Christ as described in Revelation 1 and Daniel 10. His face bright like the sun, his eyes like flaming torches; dressed in white with a golden sash around him. His feet gleaming; glory all around. As soon as I saw him he spoke and said "Fear God!"
As he spoke, his words went straight through me; piercing through the fabric of my being and felt through and through. I fell to my face. I woke up and it was morning.
What the Lord told me all those years ago should have been the purpose of my life from that moment. For some years it was; but the cares of life eventually cooled my zeal and took me from what should have been the only purpose of my life.
However, since last year he has made clear that I need to walk in the fear of God; I must in all I do fear God; and must also bring others into this fear of our Lord who is a consuming fire. This ministry, though born late--is intended to redeem lost time. The Lord soon comes and in whatever time I have left I will strive to live in his purpose; and by his grace encourage you the reader to do the same too.
Jesus loves you--call to him; he is at the door.
